About us
Green Advisors Oy is a Finnish company focused on corporate responsibility and sustainability reporting topics.
We founded the company because we noticed the challenges that small and medium-sized companies face in starting their sustainability work. Large listed companies have been reporting voluntarily for several years within different frameworks, but the work has not expanded to include their subcontractors, not yet.
The role of sustainability reporting is becoming more and more important for small and medium-sized companies
As the EU increasingly regulates sustainability reporting, the role of SMEs is increasing. Even if the threshold conditions under the CSRD Directive are not yet met, it is also worth preparing for sustainability reporting by following the VSME standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard).
An SME can also be part of a larger company’s value chain, in which case following the VSME standard can give it a competitive advantage over other subcontractors.
By following voluntary sustainability reporting, an SME can concretize its own ESG (E=environment, S=social responsibility, G=good governance) impacts. This helps them identify areas for development.
Sustainability work is more than just reporting
Sustainability work involves much more than reporting, such as creating a strategy, setting goals, and communicating about them. We also help and advise companies in these topics and train personnel in various sustainability themes according to the needs of the companies.
Based on our own experience, we understand what a challenge it is to start from scratch and we want to help at this crucial stage. We are happy to see our customers succeed and develop in their own sustainability work. The great thing is that this work never ends. There is always room for improvement!
